Welcome to DRGN WRKS LLC

(formerly known as WYVRN CSTGS, LLC)

Home of the Dragon Slayer™ and other fine single shot actions and related accessories.

We have recently changed the name of the company. To avoid confusion, we are maintaining the original url and email address.

DRGN WRKS LLC provides products and services for gunsmiths, firearms enthusiasts, knifemakers and hobbyists. It was founded by Gordon Robertson and is located in Trinidad, Colorado.

Our flagship products are the Dragon Slayer™ and Wyvrn™ Action Kits, a modernized Farquharson Action Kit , a newly designed Bolt Action Kit and a line of Grip Caps and Buttplates. While we will continue to maintain firearms and related items as our main objectives, our recent purchase of a stabilizing system allows us to provide a wide range of stabilized materials, products and custom stabilizing services to gunsmiths, knife makers and a wide range of hobbyists. At the same time we continue in our endeavors to provide products not available anywhere else.

Common features designed into all the actions decribed below include the use of fixed or interchangeable barrels, and the option of building a rifle or pistol or combination firearm. Barrels may be black powder muzzle loaders, use rimfire, rimmed or rimless centerfire cartridges or shotgun shells.

The Dragon Slayer™ Swinging Block Action is a completely new design, four years in the making. It is extremely versatile, and available in a number of styles and models. This action will be available in magnum, standard and cadet sizes, single barrel only.
The Wyvrn™ Action is a break open action based on a highly modified versin of the 1897 Farquharson. It uses commercially available T/C barrels without modification. Custom barrels may also be installed. This action will eventually be available in single and double barrels versions.
The Farquharson Action is a modernized version of the Westley Richards 1897 model. Modernization includes the replacement of most flat and vee springs with coil springs and the ability to use rimmed or rimless cartridges and other features. It will be available in magnum, standard and rook sizes in both single and double barreled versions.
Our new line of Grip Caps are machined from solid bar stock or castings. These items are availble now in a wide range of designs and materials. Please check the navigation bar on the left for more information.
Brochures are under development for the newly designed Bolt Action. These actions have a wide range of features and options. Many commercially available parts (trigger assemblies, trigger guards, etc.) that fit the 98 Mauser may be used, thereby reducing the amount of work required by the builder. Special features include the use of an ambidextrous bolt handle, and the option of using forward mounted triggers and grips similar to the Remington XP. The action can be built in sizes up to 2 bore. We feel this action, due to it's simplicity is much better suited to the 2 bore muzzle loaders and cartridges.

Other products soon to be added include a new Rear Sight Mounting System, a simple but highly effective Muzzle Brake , a Barrel Lock Up sytem which allows the use of interchangeable barrels on most currently available single shot and bolt action firarms and a number of new Knife Kits
